Dynamic Tempus

Artist: Agustín Nicolás Iglesias

The aim is to hypnotize the viewer’s gaze into a chaotic center which is constantly degenerating. It plays with dynamism, from static movement to programmed movement. The dynamic evolution of art over time and the constant chaos of each cycle, from a distance it feels orderly but up close it feels chaotic.

Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development

If there is a word that I would like to highlight, it is “Resist” (Brea, 2008). Why? Well, I feel that it represents the modern artist, it represents an individual who must adapt to a dynamism and evolutionary pace much faster than his brain can process. Resist times, where “visual culture”, the “aesthetic” and the “monetizable” merge, resulting in a weather-vane consumer who does not care about the source of origin.

I’m wondering how can I classify this? Why does he have to be pigeonholed? If you are reading this it is because it caught you and it does not matter if it is art or not, if it is good or bad, if it is “computer-art” or computer art (Brea, 2002), what matters is that it awakened in you a feeling of knowing that there is beyond what we see. And, as I tell you, there is not always something beyond that.

“What lies beyond?” It has a personal answer that when we discover it, we will take it to the grave.
