un cambio de vision
My work is inspired by the author Frieder Nake, what I did was take two works that interested me and join them, the first thing was to start with the work called “Achsenparalleler Polygonzug (Rectangular Random Polygon)”, not completing it completely, this makes the work have depth and not be so overloaded, something particular about it is that Nake created it with rectangular polygons of different sizes and shapes, what I did was make line by line with a not so gray color. dark.
Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development
Then when searching for more about the author I saw the second work which I added, this one is called “Hommage to Kazimir Malevich No. 7”, something particular is that it uses squares of different sizes and colors, which are distributed throughout the work. So that the first work would not be so overloaded, I made it so that when I pressed the space key once, the first work would disappear and the second work would appear, which would be drawn randomly across the entire canvas. The first thing I did was recreate the first work of art, he used rectangular polygons, but it was easier for me to do line by line, with this I had more precision, when making the drawing, I also chose it for its complexity, but so that it has some depth, I did not recreate the work completely, but rather used the most visible part of the work, without completing it completely. Once the first work was finished, I included a second work by the same author, which consists of squares of different sizes, distributed randomly on the canvas, he uses color, I changed it to gray tones. At first I was going to join it to the background of the first drawing, but when I did it it looked very overloaded and that’s what I didn’t want, in addition to breaking the first work, instead what I did was, when I pressed the space key once, the main work disappeared and squares of different sizes appeared all over the canvas, varying the color of each square. I chose these works, not only because of their complexity, but because of the ease they present, and the most important thing is that these two works manage to transmit and imply, depending on the recipient, something. Something that interested me about this author is that he uses technology to create this type of work, this made me remember something that Brea said, about the New-art which this author implemented. He used 1 “the industrially efficient combination of computer and telecommunications technologies”, in Nake’s case it makes sense since he is a mathematician, who created a program, to create very important works of art. In these and other works he uses a palette of grays, blacks and whites, thanks to that, it became easy for me to implement the shades of gray, since I did not have to change many things from the original works. Something interesting that Brea says is that 2 “There is no <<work of art>>, there is work and practices that we can call artistic”, this is related to Nake because as we know he made his own program, to create art, we call that art works of art, since he made them by computer and printed them on paper, and then presented them to society. That is why, thanks to Nake, today it shows that artists can use technology to create innovative and fascinating works of art, just like the works that Frieder Nake created and creates.
