Sistema solar atomico

Artist: Nahuel Racciatti

brief description

The formation of what we know as the solar system was nothing more than a successive random series of events, which were limited by the materials existing at a certain time, but what would happen if these materials were altered? What if they were constantly changing without any control? If the sun reversed the role of the center and protagonist of the system with one of the planets? In this work we try to represent those cases, where the sun can be both a planet and a satellite for them, where one of these planets gains prominence, although on the contrary it also loses identity. At the same time, as in the real universe, it is exposed that random changes can not only be something merely instantaneous, but can have features of a sequel that lasts a longer period of time than expected, and even accumulate until they become something more complex and difficult to determine.

Technical, aesthetic and conceptual description

To carry out the work I have been inspired by Happenings, which we could define as “the consequence of some reasonable but unforeseen process”. This is something that the work fulfills in a certain percentage, since in this you can observe the planets rotating around another, and when you left click the visualization of the central planet and the planet that moves at the highest speed will change, but we never know which planets will be affected, in turn audio tracks are added. This generates a feeling of dirt in the performance, enhanced by the context in which it is observed. Since it is an imitation of space, one would assume that there should not be any sounds out of context, however, it is in the opposite situation, those sounds exist and overlap with each other. With that in mind we have another characteristic in common with happenings “there is a context, the place where the work is conceived and represented.” However, it has previously been stated that the work is inspired by happenings, but it has not been stated that it is, since it has characteristics that differentiate it from such, one of them and I think the most important is that the form of happenings is open and fluid; No obvious objective is pursued, however in the present work the form is closed, limited between 2 interactions of chance, but ultimately after seeing it a little one knows what can happen.
