Work of triangles in constant movement with one of them interactive. By clicking on triangle 3 in row 3, it activates the second stage in which its movement increases and adds an extra triangle to each one.
Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development
This is a generative work with computer codes using logical systems and primitive figures in gray scales.
The author who inspired me was Vera Molnár and her works: “(Dis)order” (1974) and “Square Structures” (1989). Vera Molnár is a Hungarian-French artist born on January 5, 1924 in Hungary. She is known for her contribution to geometric art and artistic programming. Throughout his career, he has explored the relationship between mathematics, logic and art, creating works that combine precision and structure with creativity and artistic expression.
His style of abstract art attracts me because of the way he manages to combine chaos and order in a harmonious way. She, despite the simplicity of the geometric figures she uses, is able to convey to me a feeling of controlled chaos, complexity and movement (even though these are static) in her works.
Based on the above, in my work I try to replicate those sensations that Vera provokes but in a format in which those movements are real and to a certain extent interactive.
Regarding the texts provided, even though I agree with certain concepts and points that Brea provides, I consider that “works of art” do exist. Works of art are those that one produces for oneself, without following what is established to be a “product.” And although I agree that sometimes a viewer is necessary to interact with the work and obtain feedback, I feel that I would be crossing into a territory to become a product. A work of art is one that one makes and can feel satisfaction even if it is the least “ostentatious”, because it is something that one created with one’s own parameters without feeling the need for approval from an audience. By taking too much into consideration the opinion that is not your own, you are molding yourself for someone else’s taste, something that will please more imaginary people who are not destined to consume that work.
