De Vera Molnar a la actualidad

Artist: Elián Reinoso

From Vera Molnar to the present is a work of generative art that seeks to express, through an aesthetic inspired by such a pioneer of digital art as Vera Molnar, the fact that, despite the mutation that both the techniques, the passage of time and the human factor, generate on the perception of the work, both the visual stimulus and the conclusions, the same conceptual scope is still maintained, in this case, we seek to make an analogy with what we call digital art, concluding towards a kind of message above the medium (in a certain vice versa of concepts that Mcluhan develops in his writing “The medium is the message”.)

Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development

Based on the aesthetics that Vera Molnar, as a visual appearance to represent the idea, developed multiple ways of insinuating a point, quoting Nathalie Heinich in “The work beyond the object”: “The story: is the common point of these multiple ways of projecting…”. In this case, I represented that story through a visually non-existent, immaterial point, as Heinich states in the same writing “Is there anything more immaterial than an idea?”, with a click, only stimulated by the viewer, I sought in some way to represent that the idea exists only when it is interpreted by someone.

Visually and conceptually with a narrative tendency from left to right, from top to bottom as a Western convention that that’s where things progress. And even though the passage of time mutates these representations, like the human factor through the keys of the word “art”, its representation is still maintained, we continue talking about the same work, the same theme.
