Dispersión
Brief description of the work
Scattering is a work that was inspired by works by Hembert W Franke. As for Franke, it seems correct to me to mention his vision on digital art: “For Herbert W. Franke, computer art does not refer to a specific style or a particular quality, it only refers to the instrumentarium because the colors, tones, and shapes that were considered the raw material of art are now transformed into immaterial components. Art then stops being perceived as a material process to be understood as an intellectual process: despite the different results and manifestations that we understand as art, the works retain as a common feature their origin in the artist’s imagination, and finally what changes is the specific form of expression i.e. language, music or images that lead to different results (1987).”
Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development
In my search for creativity, I investigated and in said introspection I found the dispersion of which I found myself, nebula and intertwined thoughts. It is directed directly at the manifestation of my thought, it is being simple and concrete, without searching. Staying with what I can express at this moment focused on the work. Likewise seeking to focus on generative art being the manifestation of what I feel. Taking as reference the fragment of the text “The medium is the message” “What is the content of a speech? It is a true non-verbal thought process.” An abstract painting represents a direct manifestation of creative thought processes as they might appear in a computer design” (McLuhan, Marshall p.30). Likewise, this work acquires its style by highlighting the set of lines in space, thus creating its own perception. “(…)by rendering everything in two dimensions what is inside, outside, above, below, in front, behind and everything else, abandon the illusion of perspective for sensory perception snapshot of the whole” (McLuhan, Marshall p. 34) I explain that in the directions everything outside, inside, above, below, in front, behind and everything else, abandons the illusion of perspective for an instantaneous sensory perception of the whole. In this production of meaning on an immaterial plane, it is difficult to express thoughts and affectivity in intellectual and passionate work. I am looking for a major transformation of my progress.
On a technical side, this is a work generated by algorithms that mainly uses the primitive figure of the line, directing to the top, bottom and sides of the canvas. Based on works by Hembert W. Franke, I made a reinvestment of it.
