depth beziers
My work is inspired by the work of Herbert W Franke, “Logics”, particularly in the depth effect of the work, using moving beziers to achieve an effect similar to that of the reference work. The lines expand and contract from a particular point, when you click they expand more quickly, and when you release they return to their original position.
Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development My work is inspired by the work of Herbert W Franke, “Logics”, particularly in the effect of depth caused by the curved lines that are formed in his work. An attempt is made to achieve a similar effect using beziers, taking it as a reference to achieve this effect.
In my work, as time passes, the lines expand, generating a kind of wave that represents the passage of time. When you click, this effect accelerates, proposing a space of “anxiety” to the viewer. When you release the click, the work proposes a space of calm, since time returns to its original course.
The work applies/part from the concept of assemblage that indicates the notion of accumulation of disparate elements, the constitution of heterogeneous parts, which separately maintain their own identity, but which can also function when they are assembled, since they can inoculate a different unit as if it were a mixture of homogeneous elements. Although each of the bezier lines has its own separate identity, when assembled they can constitute a different unit as if it were a mixture of homogeneous elements.
explicitly quoted:
“Seitz chose this word because it was much more specific than, for example, the word construction, since the term assemblage indicates, for example, the notion of accumulation of disparate elements, the constitution of heterogeneous parts, which separately maintain their own identity, but which can also function when assembled, they can inoculate a different unit as if it were a mixture of homogeneous elements.”
“Seitz defines assemblage, in its provocation of thought, as poetic rather than realistic, for its allegorical capacity to transform the parts into a new amalgam that transcends and includes its parts.”
It can also be related to the concept of music given by Valery, but in this case with a multimedia work, which confirms that as time passes there are more efficient solutions to the transmission problems that may arise.
