N1DR0M3D4
I present N1DR0M3D4, my work that summarizes my last year a little. The one you see in the middle is me, it is not a narcissistic work, it is a work based on those around me.
I am in the middle, but around me are represented friends and various moments in which I was able to continue thanks to them. Planets around me are my friends around me, in N1DR0M3DA MEDROMEDA-LIDROMEDA-BAUDROMEDA coexist.
Each one lives with me in an internal and external space. As I said, this work is far from being a narcissistic game towards me, this work is a gift to the people I met and who helped me continue.
Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development
Based on the ideas of atmosphere, andromedas and even the word nest that I somehow made and makes a play on my name, I chose to give it an aesthetic of an internal house, my internal world, adding a lot of data in videos and images, montages that I chose to do in what was mentioned above. I chose to give an aesthetic to each one of them, each world, each sphere is one of them, my friends.
As it is said in the text of HAPPENINGS “You enter as a spectator and perhaps you discover at the end that you are trapped…”, my friends or even yourselves may experience this effect of being trapped when showing what for me is part of my internal world.
Continuing with the ideas that are presented in the text Happening, I do not want my friends or you to remain trapped in this world, the idea that this world can vary and change in a matter of days is something that would not allow you to remain trapped in it. Life as well as atmospheres continue and change, stars arrive and stars leave, people arrive and people leave.
Today these people, my people at a certain point, are here, being spectators of this brief moment of my life.
You yourself are being a brief spectator of this work and at this moment in my life, you are going to disappear and I am going to disappear.
I really liked the idea of happening as the basis of all this work, clearly, fragments like “The most intense and essential happenings have seen the light in dilapidated lofts, basements, abandoned shops, natural environments and on the street, where the public is very small, or in groups of visitors…”. My expo is intended for a niche that accompanied me all this year, to you colleagues and teachers, you are experiencing my intense moment of the year, my intense work.
An excerpt from chapter 64 of Happening says “Visitors to a happening sometimes do not understand exactly what has happened, when it has ended, or whether they have gone “wrong”. Because when something goes wrong it is often because something much better has emerged, as revealing…”. Exactly This fragment explains my elaboration of this work, I was a visitor to my own work and this work had its meaning long before being put into words, an idea long before being expressed, this work was born from an idea that was much more different than what it is. This work took me to corners that I wanted to show and express.
“The happening has an isolated and proud existence. The creators of these acts are also adventurers, since much of what they do is unexpected. It is their way of marking the cards. We could suspect that happenings, as a consequence of some reasonable but unforeseen process, manifest themselves as an art whose viability will depend, precisely, on whether the feverish dynamics of our search for cultural maturity has continuity. This situation will undoubtedly change at some point, which will entail transformations in the issues I am addressing here…”
I hope you enjoy my work and me.
