A generative image between several planes of overlapping lines which have no relationship with each other. Taking as references, fragments of the works of A. Michael Noll and Herbet W Franke. And for inspiration, a musical work “Up no more” representing the difficulties and social pressures.

Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development

It made me think about how I could interpret the existence and weight of the situations and people around me.

After reading SONTAG’s text “The Happenings” 1962, and seeing what he meant by “The happenings, some are dense, full of incidents, others violent, others are ingenious and others are like Haiku” It brought to mind the different situations that have been experienced and are not said out loud because they are my own.

“The event seems designed to annoy and mistreat the public.” It was, for me, an allegory of how society causes most of the events that exist in the privacy of our minds to be repressed. “They are always in the present tense, the same words, if there are any, are repeated over and over again” it means, how by externalizing these situations, we are exposed to criticism and the discredit of emotions.

“In happenings, the objects are not located but rather dispersed and piled up.” The lines are each one of the thoughts, eventualities, and so on. I wanted this work to be striking in an overwhelming way in the viewer’s view to raise awareness that not all the calm that is seen on the outside is what is inside the minds.
