Guided by the text “The art of installation and its heritage”, by Claire Bishop, my desire to cross different landscapes and the intersection with p5.js, I built this work in which for a few seconds, and making a few movements, we have a shock of a distant, but parallel scene.

“What the installations offer is, then, an experience of centering and decentring: works that insist on our centered presence in order to subject us to an experience of decentring. In other words, the installations not only articulate an intellectual notion of dispersed subjectivity - reflected in a world without a center or organizing principle -; but they also construct a set in which the observing subject can experience this fragmentation firsthand.”

This quote from Bishop was the trigger for this work, but it also expresses better than perhaps I can, the process of recognition in which I find myself.

As a small dimensional representation of subjectivity, the centered sphere travels through various spaces, moves, passes through them, expands, disappears and the perspective fragments.
