Imaginación.
In a work in which everyone who sees it can see a different interpresentation, for some it can look like a loudspeaker, those at concerts when a song plays at full volume or they simply see circles of different shades of gray or they simply see something else that others do not see. It is a work that can have many interpretations, depending on who sees it. It can also represent the heartbeat of a video game character or just a dark void. It is something that only oneself can see, it only has a unique interpretation that only oneself sees. When you see it, you decide for yourself what you want to see, what your heart and mind want to see. The same thing happens in real life, you see the things you want to see, maybe some scary or nice, but it’s only what you want to see. It is the same for this attempted work.
Technical, aesthetic and conceptual development
The elements implemented in the work were if, with which you can click on the work and the edges change color as well as the left and right of the mouse. Then implement, for and random so that its bounces were at different times and different speeds, so that they give a depth that each person can interpret and feel differently.
Actually, in this attempted work I was not inspired by any artist, it simply came from a basic idea.
One of the bibliographical references in which this work can be understood is that of MCLUHAN MARSHAL “The medium is the message”, which talks about the message of electric light and is interesting and profound because in some way I also send a message to the receiver through the work, MCLUHAN says “The message of electric light is similar to the message of the electrical energy of the industry” totally radical, omnipresent and decentralized” and I take it from that side to the work because although it has different types of interpretations that the receiver can see, at the end of the day it is a message that one wants to see. Whether good or bad, it is still a message.
Also another bibliographical reference that can be linked is that of Heinichi, Nathali “The work beyond the object”, when the text says “[…] these objects do not have to be made or signed by the artist to move in the world of art, while, if they need to be accompanied by explanations, statements or instructions given by him”, this part of the text can be linked to the work because in order to understand it, instructions or statements are needed as to what perspective to understand it with, what type of interpretations it can have. What thoughts does that answer lead to?
I made the work based on a circle, a basic shape, and I incorporated elements to see how it turned out, having fun in the process, trying different elements and the result is quite interesting, it is a little simple but the simple is more beautiful than the complicated.
