Tiempo Contemporáneo

Artist: Ana Irupé Fernández

In contemporary art there is a single plane of time that is perfected, giving rise to movement, sound, and the possibility of compressing enormous amounts of information in a small space. In Latin America at the end of the 60’s, this concept was politicized by social change, radicalized politics, the lack of cultural institutions and existing economic systems. It became a link for political expression, where the message is promulgated not with the work, but through written manifestos that attempt to explain the interactions of its creators. The manifestos define the enemy through which the identity of the creator is reaffirmed.

By moving the mouse to the right hemisphere you enter the “game” where, depending on which apple you choose, it takes you to decipher a code.

Biography

My name is ** Ana **, I am 19 years old. I live with my two younger sisters and my mother in San Antonio de Padua (Merlo, Buenos Aires). I graduated from high school in 2019. I love everything related to the audiovisual environment (photography, editing, cinema). Since I was a child I was always interested in art but I didn’t know where specifically, that’s why I signed up for UNA Multimediales. I think that in-person classes would have given me many more possibilities to explore this new experience and enjoy it.
