Privatización

Artist: Lara Angelina Otero Orejas

Privatization is an interactive work of art that modifies and/or intervenes (almost uninterruptedly, unless interacted with) another’s work. Once it is intervened, it is taken out of context and relocated to a place with more restricted access, that is, it is removed from public space and transferred to private space (to a museum). Once there, the work does not completely lose its origin because every time the museum part appears a rap begins to play (a genre closely related to the principles of murals and graffiti). Even so, the music is also intervened and fused with a symphony orchestra, which is more related to the most conservative part of art where the concept of the museum also enters.
